Noida, Metro Hospitals and Heart Institute today organised a CME on Neurology Updates at Hotel Golf View to update doctors about advancement in the field of Neurology and Neuro Surgery. About 50 doctors associated with National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA) participated in this CME.
CME was conducted by Dr. Kapil K Singhal, MD (internal Medicine), DM (Neurology), Dr. Amitabh Goel, MD (General Surgery) Mch (Neurosurgery) and Dr. Sonia Lal Gupta, Stroke & Headache Specialist at Metro Hospitals. The specialists shared important information on metabolic disorder, inflammatory disorders of the nervous system, Dementia etc.
Dr. Sonia Lal informed that all attendees were benefited by gaining access to state of the art knowledge in all of the relevant areas of neurology as well as detailed insights into the new role of neurologists as guardians of the brain. She said, “Neurological disorders have the highest mortality and morbidity rate and therefore an early diagnosis is vital. Picking up early signs can bring down both these rates. A common and life-threatening disorder like a brain stroke is an example where early diagnosis can help in preventing deaths and morbidity.”
